Alisha's 9th Birthday Party

We planned this around a Pirate Treasure Hunt theme. It is possible that we had been totally influenced by one Capt. Jack Sparrow.

Deepa baked this cake in the shape of a Treasure chest, encrusted with Cadbury's GEMS.

An elaborate 12 clue Treasure hunt took the entire party troupe all over the colony, with one clue leading to another. Invisible ink and Roman Centurions as well.

The kids had great fun, and I think Alisha really enjoyed it, and remembers it fondly. Saturday 8th Jan 2011.

Alisha's friend Ria stayed over, and the next morning they were painting clay pots over breakfast in the backyard.

Happy Birthday to Me

The previous evening the kids presented me with a host of recycled gifts wrapped in recycled wrapping paper, which was amazingly sweet.

And Deepa baked me a most delicious Chocolate Almond cake.

We may have found the reason why the Chikki kept vanishing a couple of segments every night....Caught on Camera for the first time ! 

Bogaram Camping Nov 2010

Bogaram is about 20 Km from Cherlapally, where we spent a night camping with friends.

Great fun out in the night sky, the sounds of the frogs from the nearby lake, and the curious villagers in the morning.

Chicken Cafreal reheated on an open Campfire flame and morning chai....great time.
